Girls & Boys

So we love living so close to so many friends and feeling like we have a family right here all around us. We get together all the time, or at least every few nights, with friends and generally play games and chat. Last night our neighbor invited us, well Joseph over to play a video game with him. I went with to visit with his wife. There turned out to be another couple there for the same reason. Here's what happened...

Us girls sat on the bathtub and soaked our feet in HOT water with some peppermint salts that smelled so good and felt great! (I was glad that I had recently painted my toes, the red ones on the left.) Then we came over to our apt and played dominoes and chatted. After about an hour to an hour and a half we figured we should go check on the boys (who by the way had vowed they would only play one game since there is homework and it was a school night). This is what we found when we got there...

Total non-responsiveness! It was pretty funny to see how wrapped up in this game they were and how hard they had to work to answer our questions while still playing. So much for multi-tasking or playing just a quick game. I guess they never promised it would be quick though.

New Background!!!

Hooray for Birthdays! Joseph turns 24 on Sunday March 29, so in preperation for it we decided we would change our background and celebrate! We love birthdays! I got Joseph some presents a litte while ago and I've had them hidden in our apt. since then and never let Joseph look in our big storage closet. I'm sure if I wrapped them it wouldn't be such a big deal, but Joseph says that is a waste of papper so I don't. It's been bugging him so much since I pretty much had to tell him where not to go just in case. (Our apt. isn't that big and there pretty much no unused or unexplored space to really hide them in.)But the countdown is on and he can't wait til Sunday!

St. Pattys Day!

So I figure that three months is long enough to go without posting. However whenever I think about our blog I feel like there is nothing new to post. But today we had a little fun. Since I work with the elementary school I've been hearing about this day for almost a month, and the warning to wear green. So I made sure to wear green, and Joseph joined me in this occasion wearing a little green too! It was a fun little day. Too bad Joseph isn't feeling to well. Hopefully he gets over his cold soon.

Where are you Christmas?!

So, I can't believe it's been a month since I've last posted. Well over a month. So I'm finally going to try and get back on top of it. This post may be a little long, but here is some of what I missed putting up over the last month.

It gets so cold in Rexburg, I didn't think you could believe this one unless you saw it. This is the metal plate thing that is at the bottom of our door on the inside of the house. Some mornings we wake up and it is frosted over all the way into our house! Ahhh, Way too cold here!
We did go home for Christmas to beautiful Washington! We loved it! There was so much snow there, neither of us could remember when we had gotten that much snow. It must have been elementary school last time we had snow like that! We had so much fun! Here are some of the fun pics and videos we took.

Joseph going down the driveway!

This is us one night after a long day of playing in the snow! The tree behind us completely iced over. The snow just piled up a little in this picture, but normally the branches were completely ice. It was so pretty. Also in the pic, the snow as so high that the lights were completely covered and made just colored circles in the snow. It was pretty fun to see. The lights are on little stands off the ground so when they were covered we knew for sure we had a lot of snow. Tons of people that had lights up around their yard had the same thing happen to them. As we drove around looking at houses and lights, it was really fun to just see the trail of lights in the snow. It was a beautiful Christmas!
